Ginza Tower

This tower in Ginza district, Tokyo, will spread over twelve levels showrooms, offices and boutiques. The solution proposes a geometrical pattern of large scale, black-clad frames, recalling a composition of traditional Japanese Tatami. They enclose openings of different types, such as led walls, louver-shaded glazing and shop front windows. The results is a strongly defined design, alternating void and closed surfaces.

The expressive continuity among the spaces is characterized by the use of dark materials alternated with vertical blinds that recall the woven straw of Japanese floor mats

The façades are inspired by the compositions of Japanese Tatami and are organized by an exposed black structural grid that subdivides the exteriors into regular geometric patterns
