Milan, Rome, Paris, London, New York, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul… are just some of the cities that host the 40 boutiques designed together with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, in collaboration with architect Ferruccio Laviani. Guidelines were developed for the new image, and applied case by case to the varying forms of the boutiques to be restructured. The choice of refined, precious materials is in perfect tune with the style of the Dolce&Gabbana. The aesthetics of the material becomes the reference for the image: the basalt, dark mirrors, refined details, large chandeliers are the leitmotiv of the Maison. Basalt, dark stone of volcanic origin, reminds a precise idea of Mediterranean combined with the presence of ornamental plants and cactus, references to the Sicilian tradition.
